Near the top of every Italy lover’s bucket list, the Amalfi Coast is a majestic and stunningly beautiful jewel in Italy’s western coast. Located 1-2 hours drive from Naples its super accessible to tourists and locals.
The region is spectacularly beautiful with rugged, windy, clifftop roads that test the nerves and the stomach of those who traverse it. Many of the big auto manufacturers film their commercials on this famously beautiful stretch of road, although we wonder when/how they manage to find it so empty!

Ever noticed how the most authentic, least pretentious Italian “trattoria” style restaurants often have those iconic red/white checkered tablecloths? There is sometimes conjecture over the origin of the trend; some claim that it is a practical measure to hedge against the inevitable splatter of tomato-based sauces, while others claim that the use of such table decoration was a signal to potential diners to expect a traditional, unpretentious, hearty and authentic dining experience.
